We rely on our donors to protect Wisconsin lakes from the economic, environmental, and safety threats of wake sports. Thanks to their generous support, we are able to:

• Educate the public about the impacts of wake sports on lakes, people, and wildlife.

• Empower municipalities and lake districts to craft effective ordinances to locally manage wake sports.

• Advocate for legislation to ensure our lakes can be safely enjoyed by all through statewide wake sports management policy.

While our advocacy and lobbying initiatives have been successful against the Water Sports Industry Association’s brazen attempt to legislate unrestricted use of enhanced wakes on our precious lakes, the fight against this formidable foe has just begun. Lakes at Stake is a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation, formed in September of 2023. We are also an approved 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization with the IRS.  Please note that as a 501(c)(4) organization, we are allowed to engage in political advocacy, but any contributions to Lakes at Stake Wisconsin are not tax-deductible to the donor.
